President - Mitzi Stone, Class of 1991

Mitzi Stone graduated from EC in 1991. After graduation, she immediately joined the workforce. First as a preschool teacher, next in retail, and then spent 15 years behind a desk as an administrative assistant. In 2016, Mitzi returned to school, graduating with her associate degree in liberal arts from Tulsa Community College in 2018. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in history from Northeastern State University in 2020 and is currently working toward her Master's in American Studies from NSU. She plans to work in Public History and write history books for children and adults. She is currently working for Coweta Public Schools and runs an online consignment shop.  She also has a project called “Adopt-A-Dad” which works to lift the spirits of men in eldercare facilities.  Mitzi is the youngest of four EC Alumni siblings. She is most proud of her title of Aunt to 14 nieces and nephews and Grandaunt to 18 Grandnieces and Grandnephews. Mitzi is also a wood sculptor, following her family’s artistic endeavors, as well as an avid crocheter. She has been a member of the Alumni Board since 2016.

Vice President - Shawna Keller, Class of 1999

Shawna (Hayes) Keller is a proud member of the Class of 99.  After graduation Shawna went on to earn her BA in History from the University of Tulsa and teaching certification from Northeastern State University.  She completed her Master’s Degree from TU in 2017.  Shawna teaches Social Studies at the Ram Academy, the alternative high school in Owasso.  Shawna dedicated many years representing East Tulsa (EC and its feeder pattern) on the Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education as Vice President. Shawna is excited about the work of the Foundation because she wants to make sure that today’s Cardinals have access to the tools they will need to succeed.  Shawna also has deep roots at East Central, her mom, dad, and aunts and uncles all attended East Central.  She and her husband, Jeremy, live in East Tulsa with their son.

Treasurer - Cheryl Behles, Class of 1999

Cheryl (Aust) Behles graduated from East Central in 1999. After high school, Cheryl graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College with her Associates and attended the University of Central Oklahoma earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Business. Cheryl now works for MidFirst Bank in Tulsa, OK as a Senior Commercial Lending Administrator and Portfolio Manager. Cheryl and her husband, Jeff, reside in Collinsville, OK and have two boys, Stephen and William.

 Media Coordinator - Lisa Carpenter, Class of 1999

Lisa (Schrader) Carpenter is an EC graduate from the Class of 1999.  Lisa enjoys serving on the board because it keeps her in touch with her roots and she wants to make a positive impact for the students at East Central.  Lisa has served as President and Vice President of her college sorority alumnae group over the past decade and uses that experience to help the East Central Foundation move forward.  As a student at East Central, Lisa served as Class Secretary and Red Cross President, while promoting school pride as a cheerleader and wrestling mat maid.  After high school, Lisa earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from The University of Oklahoma.  While working full time, she completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Oklahoma State University (although she will always be a die-hard Sooner fan!) Lisa and her husband, Dustin, live in Broken Arrow with daughter, Kennedy and son, Grant.

Board Members

LaMont Hill, Class of 1998

After graduating from East Central in 1998, LaMont Hill pursued his higher education at Tulsa Community College. He began his career at the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office in 2001 and has served our community there for over 20 years. During his time at East Central, LaMont played baseball and sang in the choir. When he is not bringing energy and ideas to our alumni foundation, he is playing men’s baseball and enjoying his time as a dog dad.


Cathy Boley, Class of 1977

Cathy is a EC graduate from 1977 and served as our foundation President from 2015-2023. During her high school years at EC she was a member of the synchronized swim team.  She loved the sport, her teammates, and the coach Pat Holder.  After graduation Cathy attended the OU College of Nursing where she earned her BSN.  She worked several years in the hospitals before she became a school nurse in 1990.  She moved to become the school nurse at her Alma Mater East Central in 2008 through 2017 before she retired.  Cathy has been married to her husband David since 1983.  They have 2 children Dennis and Melissa who are both married.  Cathy is also very active in the Tulsa Cerebral Palsy Association and the President of the Tulsa Parrot Head Club.  

Bridgette Payne, Class of 1993

Bridgette (Prideaux) Payne is an EC graduate from the class of 1993. After graduation, she attended the University of Tulsa where she earned her B.S. (1997) and M.S. (1999) in Speech Pathology. Bridgette has worked in hospitals and pediatric clinical settings and has worked as a clinical supervisor and adjunct instructor for the University of Tulsa.  She currently works as a Speech-Language Pathologist for Tulsa Public Schools.  Bridgette has been married to her husband, Mike Payne (EC c/o 91), since 1997. They live in Tulsa and have 2 children. Bridgette enjoys serving on the board as a way to give back to her alma mater and to help support, encourage, and make a positive impact for current EC students.    

Maia Treleaven, Class of 1991

Maia (Logan) Treleaven is an EC graduate from the class of 1991.  After completing her education at Tulsa Community College with an associate of science and associate in liberal arts, she embarked on a successful career in the private industry, leveraging her technical skills and expertise in IT systems development, project management, and quality management.  Maia has been married to her husband, Tyrone Treleaven, since 1994 and has 4 children. Maia's commitment to her alma mater, EC, and serving on the board reflects her desire to give back to the institution that played a role in shaping her academic and personal growth. Her involvement in supporting and encouraging current EC students underscores her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others.  Maia's dedication to her career, her family, and her community exemplifies the values of leadership, service, and lifelong learning. Her story serves as an inspiration to others, demonstrating the power of perseverance, hard work, and giving back to one's alma mater.

Annette Sears, Class of 1974

During her high school years at EC she was involved in the Pep Club, Student council, Catalina synchronized swim team and many hours of hanging and visiting in the round.

Annette graduated from University of Tulsa and began her teaching career. She taught 34 years. Four years in Tulsa Public Schools and thirty years in Owasso Public Schools. She retired in 2020. Annette has 2 daughters, Nicole and Christina. Annette is active in the Tulsa Public Schools Reading Partner Program.
